Stella was born in Salford and has lived in the North West all her life. She studied Education at Manchester, eventually to be appointed a Vice Principal of a local College. She studied Contextual Theology at Manchester, before being Ordained as a Baptist Minister, primarily working within the field of Palliative Care Chaplaincy – her passion and her mission.
She is married to Ian, surrogate mum to 4 children and 3 grandchildren, with an extensive “family” network to keep her grounded.
Stella was both surprised and honoured to be invited to serve as Chaplain to the High Sheriff for 2016-17, Mrs Kathy Cowell. They had previously worked together in the hospice movement and Stella very much looks forward to supporting her during her year of office.
